RB Jones Global is pleased to announce the appointment of two experienced insurance professionals to its team in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Bassem Mesallam joins as Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Engineering Lines, while Yousef Helal joins as Senior Energy Underwriter.
Bassem brings more than 20 years of experience leading construction, engineering and energy portfolios across Canada and the Middle East. His extensive industry expertise, combined with a strong track record of driving profitable growth and underwriting excellence, will play a key role in supporting the continued development of engineering and specialty capabilities within the DIFC.
Yousef joins the business with significant experience in energy underwriting, having managed a diverse portfolio of risks spanning mining, power generation, oil and petrochemicals, chemicals, and renewable energy sectors. His expertise further strengthens the company’s ability to deliver specialist underwriting solutions across a broad range of energy-related exposures.
